Our "I can" statements for the week of 1/15/18:
Math: I can multiply a 4-digit by a 1-digit number and two
2-digit numbers by using equations, arrays, and/or area
models to show my work. I can multiply or divide to solve
Religion: I can demonstrate proper etiquette and rituals
of the Mass. I can list the Ten Commandments and
explain their meanings. I can explain the Ten
Commandments in relation to everyday life. I can
distinguish between "right" and "wrong" in relation to the
Reading/English Language Arts: I can spell grade-level
vocabulary; I can read with accuracy and fluency. I can
plan, revise, and edit my writing with help from peers
Social Studies: I can identify various people who lived in
Ohio (prehistoric and historic American Indians, migrating
settlers, immigrants). I can describe how the interactions
people who lived in Ohio have resulted in conflict and
cooperation; I can order important events from Ohio and
United States on a timeline.
Science: I can identify the different types of catastrophic
events that can change the earth's surface. I can
understand the differences between weathering and
erosion. I can understand the process of weathering and
how it changes the earth's surface.
Homework for the week:
Tuesday: Lesson 3.6
Wednesday: Lesson 3.7
Thursday: There will be a test over chapter 3 tomorrow.
Tuesday: Write spelling words three times each - List 9
Thursday: Spelling test tomorrow
Tuesday: Complete the trading simulation reflection on page 34 in
Ohio Social Studies packet.
Important classroom Information:
-We will begin MAP testing the week of February 22nd.
