Our "I can" statements for the week of 10/9/2017:
Science: Identify that there are many kinds of animals, and they have certain needs.
Social Studies: Explain citizens' rights and responsibilities at home, at school, and in the community.
Math: Use place value to find the values of numbers and describe numbers in different ways.
Reading/English Language Arts: Identify and spell words with long vowels a, u, and i; read and comprehend informational text; write a friendly letter; learn the difference between subject and predicate; and identify a simple sentence.
It is important for your child to read at least 20 minutes each day.
Monday: Chapter 1 math test and "My Family" reading tests tomorrow. Complete the math chapter review and reread the vocabulary and story.
What's going on in S2TEM2: We "baked" cookies without an oven. Ask your child for the details.
We are also brainstorming PBL ideas with Mrs. Waller to help improve our school. Stay tuned...
Reminders: Please make sure your child is reading daily and taking the 5 required AR tests.
