Our "I can" statements for the week of 5/1/2017:
Science: Understand how living things meet their needs in their environment and how environments can change over time.
Social Studies: Use maps to help learn about the different kinds of land, water, and places around us.
Math: Solve problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using money symbols appropriately. Tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes, using a.m. and p.m.
Reading/English Language Arts: Identify idioms; write an opinion piece; tell what a biography is; spell words with long o sounds correctly.
Homework for the week:
It is important for your child to read at least 20 minutes each day.
What's going on in S2TEM2: Ask your child about our simple machines tri-fold project.
Reminders: Please make sure your child is continuing to read daily and take AR tests. For the last quarter, I've challenged the students to read 1 point or higher books.
