Meet Our School

September 9, 2018

September is Here!

Last week was an exciting week at St. Vincent de Paul Parish School.  Our Kindergarteners settled in and our preschool is bustling with activity.  We are looking forward to our opening school liturgy this coming Friday. Our school is committed to weekly celebrations of mass and we hope you can join us. We are committed to teaching respect for God respect for oneself and respect for others!  I would like to thank the staff and parents for helping make the first week of school go smoothly.  I appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to make our school safe for all of the students, especially during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.  As we begin our second week, for the safety of all our students, I would like to encourage our parents to respect our visitor’s policy and sign in at the school office if you need to enter the building.

So many people help make our school a Christ-centered place. The entire staff of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and School is committed to providing outstanding Catholic education for the success of each student.  Often, there are a few unsung heroes that may not receive the gratitude that they so deserve.  I would like to thank several women who have worked extremely hard over the summer months to be sure that all of the “back to school needs” for our staff, parents and students have been met.  An enormous, heartfelt thank you goes out to Mrs. Laurie Belair, our school secretary, as well as Mrs. Connie Pacanovski, our business manager.  Each one of these dedicated women has put in many hours of work throughout the summer months to prepare for the upcoming year.  I am especially appreciative to both for helping to make the transition into a new year go so smoothly.  As you come and go this school year, please be sure to thank these ladies for their dedication to St. Vincent de Paul Parish School.

Also, mark your calendars for the first SVDP Community Council General Meeting coming up on September 11th at 5:00pm to 6:30 pm.  Their first meeting will be held at Lock 15 Brewery.

Have a blessed week.

Peace and blessings,

Mrs. Salamon
