Current Events

CYO NEWS:  CYO is offering softball and baseball for our students and children in our parish.  Practices will begin in late June, games start in mid-July.  Grades 1 and 2 will be coach-pitch.  Grades 3-8 will be youth-pitch.  Boys and girls may sign up on the sign-up sheets that will be in the classrooms next week.  Please call Walt Whitmyer at 330-808-4549 to sign up, or if you would like to coach or have questions. 

FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI, Sunday June 6:  Father Kraker has requested that we participate in this special day of prayer and procession, followed by a potluck dinner in Corrigan Hall.  First Communion students are asked to come in their special First Communion clothes.  All Altar Servers are asked to be here for the procession.   Each child received a letter last week with all of the details. They received another copy of the letter today, however if you have questions or would like to sign up to bring a dish for dinner, please call the school office or the parish office (330-535-3135). This is a beautiful celebration, please join us!

MARKET DAY: We would like to thank everyone who supported our Market Day sale in May. In June you will receive a FREE bottle of Grilling Sauce with a minimum order of $40.00. Order forms need to be returned to school by Friday, May 28. Order online at marketday.com until 11 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1. Pick up date is Saturday, June 5th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. This is the last Market Day for this school year. All orders must be picked up on this day; no orders may be left in the freezer after the sale. We are in need of a Chairperson to help with Market Day for next school year- please call Selena (330-773-2178/330-858-8890) if you are interested. If you would like to volunteer at the pick-up please come at 8:15 a.m. on June 5.

PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION UNIFORM SWAP: Clean out those closets and get ready for the annual Uniform Swap.

All Grades: June 2nd from 8 a.m. to noon - Scullen Room.

8th Grade Drop Off: May 26th to June 2nd - Box in school office

END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR NEWS:
• Friday, May 28th will be the last day that our cafeteria will be serving lunch. Students will need to pack their lunch and beverage for the remaining school days (June 1-3) unless your homeroom teacher has made special arrangements and has notified the class.
• Aftercare will be available June 1-3. Parents must send in their payment on Tuesday, June 1, with their form requesting which days their child will stay.
• Eighth Grade Graduation will take place on Wednesday, June 2 at 6 p.m. in the church.
• On Friday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. we will have our final mass. All parents and friends are invited to join us in the church. All students will be dismissed at 11:15 a.m. from their classrooms on this last day of school. In planning for this day please remember: school busses will be running as normal at our dismissal. All parents whose children do not ride the school bus must pick up their child(ren) from school at 11:15 a.m.
