School Operations:
Room Parent Coordinator
This person over-sees the party plans for specific class throughout the year.
Duties for this person include coordination of the party leaders and helpers,
distribution of party funds, and assuring parties are planned and
implemented. Please specify on sign-up sheet which grade you would like
to coordinate.
Room Parent
This position plans and carries out class parties. Room parents are also
responsible for party set up, food, supplies, supervision of activities and
clean up. St. Vincent school provides a designated fund to each classroom
for party supplies and food. Each class party typically has one assigned
parent leader and 2-3 other parent helpers. Please specify on the sign-up
sheet which grade(s) you would like to help with.
LRC Aide
Volunteers help check books in and out, assemble materials for teachers,
supervise and read to students. Duties for this position are performed in the
Learning Resource Center (the School Library) two mornings a week. If interested,

Cafeteria
Volunteers help serve lunch, prepare teacher trays, and clean up. Volunteer
times are available daily from 11:00-12:00. Substitute and alternative shifts
are also available.
Staff Appreciation
Volunteers assist the Staff Appreciation Chair person with planning and
implementation of monthly staff appreciation activities such as providing
coffee and donuts before school of lunch served in the teachers lounge
during their lunch period.
Bookstore
Volunteers help sell school supplies and Irish items. Times available are
Monday and Thursday, 7:30-8:00 and 11:00-12:00.
Nominating Committee
The purpose of the nominating committee is to prepare a slate of officers to
be presented to, and voted on by the Parent’s Association Board. The
committee is chaired by the immediate past president of the Parent’s
Association. This involvement would consist of a few meetings.
Baker*
Prepared and deliver to the school appetizers or desserts for special events
and/or meetings throughout the school year.
First Communion*
April and May commitments: First grade parents bake cookies, Second
grade parents cross-stitch and Third grade parents serve and clean up at
the reception following the First Communion Mass on the specified
Saturday in May. Please specify if you would like to coordinate this
activity.
Confirmation*
Seventh grade parents set up and serve refreshments at the Eighth grade
Confirmation in March. Please specify if you would like to coordinate this
activity.
8th Grade Graduation*
Seventh grade parents assist at the catered graduation reception in June.
*Denotes volunteer positions that can be carried out after school, during
the Weekend or from home.
