Admissions

We appreciate your interest in St. Vincent de Paul Parish School

St. Vincent de Paul Parish School has as its main purpose the development of the spiritual life of its children. We believe the message of the Gospel to be of primary importance in arriving at the truth in all content areas and in providing a guide for s Christian way of life. For this reason, it is hoped that all children of Saint Vincent Parish would have the opportunity, and use it, of being a part of our school community. Children in the parish have the first right to this school. St. Vincent de Paul Parish School annually spends around $8,200.00 per student to maintain its educational program. Parish funds are used to supplement the difference between the stipulated cost and actual cost. The parish covers the substantial financial difference between per pupil cost and the actual tuition through its weekly offertory collection and through the generosity of those associated with the parish.  Acceptance is based on the ability to meet admission requirements and enrollment capacity in classrooms.

The following steps are taken for admission to St. Vincent de Paul Parish School:

1. A meeting with the principal and a tour of the school is the first step to admission. This can be scheduled by submitting information on this link.

2. After your visit, if you feel your values and view on education align with St. Vincent de Paul Parish School, then prospective families should submit an application using this link. In all cases the school retains the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether or not to select a student for admission.

Our Open Registration for the 2024-2025 school year begins in January.

St. Vincent de Paul Parish School is a small, highly academic, Catholic school. We have one class of each grade, Pre-Kindergarten through 8. We are fortunate to have a parish community that financially subsidizes our school through their donations. Therefore, when we do have openings in a classroom, we fill those openings with:

  • A child who is a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish
  • A child who is Catholic, but a member of a different parish
  • A child who is non-Catholic

The actual cost to our parish and school to educate one child in our school averages $8,200.00 per year.

Through the generosity of our Parish, tuition at St. Vincent de Paul Parish School has been able to stay at a reasonable and competitive tuition rate compared to similar Catholic schools in the Akron area. Our tuition rate is $6,350.00 for K-8 students and $4,400.00 for pre-kindergarten students.

In keeping with the tradition of our parish and school community, members of our parish are offered a scholarship in the form of a tuition discount for their children who attend St. Vincent de Paul Parish School.

It is hoped that these members of our parish attend mass and contribute their time and talents to the life of our parish, which not only benefits our parish, but our students and their families.

In addition, families with multiple children attending our school receive a scholarship for each additional child who attends our school.

All enrolled families may apply for tuition assistance through the Diocese of Cleveland FACTS program. Click the link below for instructions on how to apply for financial aid.
